Our wedding in Sanlúcar de Barrameda was absolutely perfect! Javi and I are very lucky to have so many wonderful people in our lives, and we’d like to extend a big “Thank You” to everyone who was able to attend and all of you who sent well wishes! I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank some of the local business that helped make this day so special; I love living in this community and the wedding just wouldn’t have been the same without a local Sanluqueñan flair!
TOProducciones – Wedding photos, videos, DJ and more!
The guys at TOProducciones are fantastic! We had a team of photographers and videographers with us all day and they even made the step and repeat banner too. The team created a fun video of Javi and I to share with guests during the wedding (complete with subtitles) and Javi Velazquez coordinated with Tam Kennedy and the band to make sure their performance went off without a hitch! Javi is also a great DJ and we had a blast dancing the entire night. TOProducciones is the best in town and knowing that this team of professionals had everything under control really gave me peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy the day!
Alhajas Joyeria – Personalized bridesmaids gifts
The owner of Alhajas Joyeria, Felipe, hand-made gorgeous necklaces for each of my bridesmaids and matching earrings too! I liked them so much I got one for myself as well 😉 The necklaces were personalized with each bridesmaid’s first initial and wedding date on the back. The jewelry matched their dresses perfectly and some of the girls haven’t taken their necklaces off since the wedding! If you’re planning a wedding in Sanlúcar I would definitely recommend speaking with Felipe; he’s very talented and has tons of quality items at his shop!
Floristería Rastrojera – Bridal bouquets, tocados and more!
Antonio from Floristería Rastrojera is awesome! He hand made “tocados” for each of my bridesmaids (floral hair accessories) as well as my bouquet, my bridesmaids’ bouquets, boutonnieres for the men, and decorated the church too. The flower arrangements he created were gorgeous and everything was very reasonably priced; he even saved the day and bought me a fan when I realized I’d forgotten to get one! Antonio made sure everything was taken care of; the morning of the wedding he dropped off the bouquets at our house and went to the church to decorate. If you’re getting married in Sanlúcar definitely see Antonio, you won’t be disappointed!
Abadia Lounge Bar – Pre-boda/rehearsal party
The guys at Abadia set up a nice pre-boda party for all our family and friends; the bar’s courtyard was the perfect place to host the event and their servers did a great job attending all of our guests. We were able to bring food for the party (served by their team) and they supplied the cocktails, beer and wine. Great experience!
Alfar2 – Catering
The team at Alfar2 is absolutely amazing; impeccable service and delicious food! We had a great experience from start to finish; they let us attend another wedding to sample hors d’oeuvre, hosted us for a menu tasting with my family, and they came to the venue the day before the wedding to make sure everything was set up perfectly. The catering and service were top quality and even months after the wedding our guests are still talking about the delicious food!
Special Thanks:
Paco Madame – Hair & Makeup
Anyone who has the opportunity to have their hair and makeup done by Paco Madame should consider themselves lucky! It was also a very special experience because he did my mother-in-law’s hair and makeup on the day of her wedding 36 years ago!
Oscar – Long Play Jewelry
Oscar is a jewellery designer at Long Play Jewelry in Madrid. He hand-crafted a gorgeous engagement ring for me as well as Javi and my wedding bands. He incorporated our ideas and customized the rings perfectly – thank you Oscar!
Sanlúcar Fish Spa – Bridal party manicures and pedicures
We had a blast getting our nails done at Sanlúcar Fish Spa! The team there is super friendly, offers great prices and the champagne and chocolate were definitely a lovely bonus!
In & Out Accesorios de Moda – Custom fascinators
Isa at In & Out is a dream! I needed to create a fascinator for my mom, but the problem was she wouldn’t be arriving until the week of the wedding! I showed Isa photos of my mom’s dress and shoes, and she created a custom fascinator based on the images. My mom loved her fascinator and received tons of compliments on it; if you need a unique “tocado” for a wedding definitely visit Isa!
Narciso Climent – Priest
Javi and I are so grateful that Narciso was able to officiate the wedding ceremony. He worked with me on incorporating some bilingual elements into the ceremony and helped make the experience so special!
Tam Kennedy, Jose Antonio & the band – Live entertainment
Tam Kennedy and the band got everyone in the dancing mood! The live music was so much fun you couldn’t help but dance!
Maksim Paliazhakin – Ceremony music
Maksim and his companion performed beautifully; the classical violin and cello definitely enhanced the ambiance of the wedding ceremony!
Caballerizas de Montpensier – Reception venue
Las Caballerizas was the perfect venue for our reception; they were super helpful and coordinated with the catering company to ensure everything was prepared for the big day!
Bodegas La Cigarrera – Out-of-town lunch luncheon
La Cigarerra was the perfect spot to have our out-of-town luncheon; the food was delicious and everyone had a great time!
Fundación Casa Medina Sidonia
The foundation was kind enough to give us access to the gardens for bridal party photo shoot!
1920’s Ford – Transport
We were really excited about the car we reserved through MilAnuncios. The vehicle belongs to an older gentleman and his son; they brought the car to Sanlúcar for the wedding, drove us to and from the ceremony and even stayed afterwards during appetizers so people could take pictures with the car!
